Fun Ideas for a Decorating a Pooh Room

If you grew up knowing and loving Winnie the Pooh, then you will definitely appreciate the reason for your children loving a pooh and friends room as much as they do. Winnie the Pooh has endeared himself along with his friends Tigger, Rabbit and Piglet among others to generations of kids and then parents. The general idea these days is not just to read about Winnie the Pooh or watch the Disney productions but to actually live in a Winnie the Pooh room. How is this possible? It is simply by infusing the character into the private space of the children. Of course, this is with their permission. Actually it is what they want.

So, in doing this, you will have to task your creativity a bit. It is really fun though and you are sure to enjoy every step of the way. Here are some ideas I used in putting together a Winnie the Pooh bath room décor and bedroom for my children.

First, I really wanted to make sure that all the materials used in the room including murals for a kids room Winnie the Pooh rhymed and provided a steady pattern. I was able to achieve this by choosing a color scheme for the room which could blend with the Winnie the Pooh room collection and pictures that would be present on the various materials. Yellow and red were the two major colors that I chose and they all worked well. I simply painted the upper parts of the wall in soft yellow while the lower parts were in red and then where the two colors met, I lined it with Winnie the Pooh wall border. This should do well for a toddler girl winnie the pooh room.

In order to make sure that the materials for the window curtains and the beddings rhyme with the winnie the pooh theme room, I bought Winnie the Pooh fabric and had pleated curtains sewn along with a duvet for the bed and matching pillow cases. This helped to provide a classic pooh room décor.

On different parts of the wall, I pasted lifesize cutouts of Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore. These looked really nice and quite complimented the color and general theme of the room.

I recommend using stickers to ‘spice up’ the existing furniture especially if you are designing a Winnie the Pooh infants room. This is basically because of the expense involved in buying new themed furniture. All you need to do is buy a number of Winnie the Pooh stickers and paste them all over the bed or other furniture without making them look crowded. This will the Pooh kid room a completely give it a new look.

Pooh bear wall art for babys room, figurines and other accessories like mugs also serve to enhance the Winnie the Pooh theme. They can be placed on the same night table as a Winnie the Pooh table lamp. You can also place them on a rack.
