Bananagrams is an innovative game that is a cross between a crossword puzzle and Scrabble. The game is called Bananagrams since the 144 tiles with letters on them come in a yellow banana shaped pouch. The game is very portable making it great to take to a friend’s house or on trips.
Made for two or more players ages seven to big kids, the game is played by placing all tiles face down and mixing them around. Once set-up, each player draws a tile until everyone is taken.
The objective of the game is to spell words in a crossword format. For example, you could have a word going from right to left, then build upon that word, using your other tiles to make another word going across the word from top to bottom vertically. You keep on building words as long as they remain in a crossword like format.
No board is required. Each player works on their own crossword. The first person to use up all their tiles is the winner. The first player to use up all their tiles must yell ‘Bananas!’ to announce the completion of the crossword puzzle.
Games can last as little as five minutes for true word masters! Mix up the letters again and again to form words.
The product reviews for this game are through the roof! Bananagrams is truly a fun and intelligent game for the whole family. Small kids and big kids alike love to play this game together! Some have stated that playing Bananagrams is like playing a form of speed Scrabble. Everyone goes Bananas over Bananagrams!

Easy to learn, yet challenging, Apples to Apples is great for parties. Players all agree with the game’s hilarious description that keeps them laughing the whole time they plays.
Red cards are dealt to all players except one. The amusing part of the game comes from comparing cards drawn and played by the players. For each turn, a judge draws a green card. Red cards are nouns such as celebrity names, events or other things in everyday life. Green cards are adjectives such as painful, embarrassing, gawky, and more.
The judge picks a green card at which point each other player chooses a red card from their hands to match up with the green card. An example might be that the green card says embarrassing. A player might have a noun card that says ‘First Kiss’ That’s where the fun beings since there are an unlimited number of unexpected possibilities in what can happen. Playing the game is great for starting conversations!
Once everyone has played their card, the judge makes his or her decision as to which answer is best and awards points to that player. Then a new judge takes over for the next round of play.
The Apples to Apples board game comes with 756 red cards and 252 green cards. Rules are easy to learn which will enable your group to get started right away!
